It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing away of Marhuma Nargisbai Dharsee, who passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, in New York. Salaat ul Mayyit will take place at Al Mahdi Islamic Center on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 8:00 PM, beginning with Majlis. Burial will take place on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the Washington Memorial Park at 10:00 AM.
Ziyarat Majlis will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, after Namaz-e-Maghrib, followed by the scheduled program at Al Mahdi Islamic Center.
Marhuma was the wife of Marhum Amirali Dharsee.
Marhuma was the sister of Masuma Dhirani (Toronto), Amina Sajan (Dar), Mohamed Lalji (UK), Sherbanu Lalji (Dar), and Razia Hasham (Dar).
Marhuma was the mother of Musadiq Dharsee (Shafana Dharsee), Arif Dharsee (Ruhayna Mukhi), Femida Dharsee (Murtaza Amarshi), Fatema Dharsee (Toufiq Mohamedali), and Nasreen Dungersi (Mujahid Dungersi).
Marhuma was the grandmother of Ummul Baneen Mohamedali, Mohsinali Mohamedali, Zayn Mahdi Dungersi, Safiyah Dungersi, Sakinah Dungersi, Mikayla Dharsee, Ali Husayn Dharsee, Ali Redha Dharsee, Ali Hasan Dharsee, Samarrah Dharsee, Ameerah Dharsee, Mikayla Dharsee, Mikyle Mohamedali, Layla Mohamedali, and Khalil Mohamedali.
